This Refund Policy ("Policy") governs the purchase and use of virtual currency ("Stars") within the Pairwise mobile application and website (trypairwise.com). Pairwise is operated by SPECTRUMWISE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.
Pairwise operates on a pay-as-you-go virtual currency model, utilizing digital tokens known as "Stars". We do not utilize recurring subscription models. All purchases of Stars are considered final and non-refundable. Because Stars are digital items credited to your account for immediate use, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cash equivalents for unused Stars, whether they were purchased directly, awarded as gifts, or granted upon registration.
Stars are a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use certain in-app features. They have no real-world monetary value. Stars cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for fiat currency or any other asset of value.
Consumer protection laws in the United Kingdom and the European Union generally grant consumers a 14-day "cooling-off" period (Right of Withdrawal) for online purchases. However, there is an exception for digital content that is supplied immediately. By initiating a purchase of Stars on the Pairwise platform, you explicitly consent to the immediate delivery and performance of the digital content. You acknowledge and agree that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal as soon as the Stars are credited to your account.
While our general policy is strictly non-refundable, SPECTRUMWISE LTD may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund in the following exceptional circumstances:

To claim an exception, you must contact our support team at support@trypairwise.com within 7 days of the disputed transaction, providing proof of purchase and a detailed explanation of the error.
If your Pairwise account is suspended, terminated, or permanently banned by our moderation team for violations of our Terms of Service (e.g., fraud, harassment, explicit content, under-age usage), you immediately forfeit all accumulated Stars. No refunds, partial or full, will be issued for remaining virtual currency in banned accounts.
We take financial fraud very seriously. If you initiate a chargeback or dispute a valid transaction with your bank or credit card provider without first contacting Pairwise support to resolve a technical error, your account will be immediately permanently banned. We reserve the right to contest chargebacks by providing your usage logs and this accepted policy to the acquiring bank.
If you purchased Stars through a third-party application store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), your transaction is governed by the refund policies of those respective platforms. SPECTRUMWISE LTD cannot process refunds for transactions made through Apple or Google. You must contact their respective support teams directly.
